Hot pink with deep green variegation develop on this tree after the new growth in spring appears as neon red. 'Noel' turns to green during late spring to early summer. Fall color is a bright fire engine red. Height might reach 10-12 ft in 15 years. 'Noel' was found as a variegated sport on 'Shin deshojo' by John' O'Brien in CT.
A very nice different smaller tree with great season long coloration. The name in Japanese means "Gold calico Cloth" referring to the golden hue on top of the summer color as well as the the fall coloration
