Another great larger red hardy Jm has been added to the Davidsan stable. It is wider than Bloodgood but not as tall .. an excellent tree that holds it color well thru the summer .Has a very open form not twiggy like most bloodgood types. In the time I have observed this tree it has become a favorite .. it is very very pretty and superbly graceful. As per Vertrees book 4th edition, This is now known as Vandermoss Red.
Winter Hardiness: Zone 5 - Down to -20°
