Acer palmatum Ariake nomura
This is a tree similar to Musashino, and is in fact a seedling of the Musha. That is why I am excited about it . Musashino is one of my all time favorite larger JMs which is super hardy, beefy and gorgeous. This one has different tones of red . If you are looking for a larger JM this is it!! This hottest past summer proved that this plant can take full sun and heat well did better than 90% other JMs it seems a bit smaller than Musashino but it is a true winner in hardiness category for hot summers while good cold hardiness .. its a keeper!!
