Acer palmatum Winter Flame
This is a dwarf Sango Kaku which is much smaller and bushier and with red fall color. It doesn't seem to have the problems the Sango has for northern areas and seems like a perfect tree for year round color for that smaller nook you have just a waiting for something special. Zone 6.
